M is for Maniacal Monacle wearing Monarch Monkey

Much ado about nothing. I am going to bed early tonight and intending to try and become an early riser. My plan is to manoeuver myself into a much more physical maintenance program. I have my physiotherapy exercise sheets tacked to the wall, my weights and my stretch bands all ready to go.
I need to be much healthier if I am to meet the demands of my new career. So without further ado I shall launch into a quick blog tonight and then go to the land of sweet dreams and snoring.
I have to remind myself some times that I need sleep and time to relax and recover. Three surgeries in one year takes time to  bounce back from. There are days I must think I am still an invincible teenager.                                             mmmmmmmmmhmmmmmm

Blogging my book: I wrote several hundred words. Not a lot but more than none.
RhyPiBoMo: I did my daily lesson and commented on the blog, read a rhyming picture book and did not do a rhyme of my own but I will do two tomorrow.
A to Z I read extra blogs yesterday so I could have an easy day today.
12x12 I was up until 2 this morning (hence early tonight), commenting and reading critiques on my story then having a meltdown on the forum. Ah the melancholy.
Anthologies: I wrote a tiny horror last night and a cat lovers story today, both have been submitted to anthologies. Which reminds me I need to go to Sub 6 and write my submissions in.
CampNaNoWriMo, I will go put my tally for today in.
Blog hopping.... done.

Okay today was a short and sweet round up. Happy blog hopping those of you who are A to Z'ing and to everyone else; May your day ahead be filled with marvels and wonder. Much love. Cecilia .

  1. Dear Cecilia,
What a lovely old-fashioned name. I, too, have one... Ruby Irene (from the southern United States) and I have the age to prove it. (almost 81). Enjoyed reading your post. So sorry you've had such a rough year with surgeries. That happened to me back in 2009. Horror story extraordinaire! Glad you are on the mend. Take it easy as long as you can! Best regards to you. I blog-hop early in the mornings (between 4:15 and 6 a.m.) Yawn, then sometimes I go back to bed for a while. If you so desire to read my stuff :) you'll find me (today) at number 761 on the challenge list. See ya! Ruby aka Blabbin' Grammy

    1. Hello Ruby Irene, I shall pop over and take a look at your post too. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, looking after everyone but ourselves. Fortunately it all worked out in the end so long as I remember to rest. I still woke up after six hours so here I am back online. Chuckle. I suspect I will go back to sleep after breakfast.

  6. Cecilia, Am just reading this again now and canNOT believe I said about it making me smile and feeling merry. I apologise .. 3 surgeries in one year? Nothing to smile about. I wish you well ... and keep on trucking. I think I must have repressed that thought of surgery .... and just enjoyed your post for its humour.

    1. chuckle it makes me smile. Maniac monkeys with monocles are always good for a laugh. I am smiling that I came through all three successfully, no need to apologise but thank you for coming back to say it. I am pleased you enjoyed the humour.

  7. Short and sweet can be good for the soul. I'm a night owl who blogs mostly late at night, so early mornings are tough for me. I make a plan to go to bed early at least once a week so I'm not a total bear to deal with. It sounds like you got accomplished despite your early bedtime.

    1. I try to get things done and my unkind body decided an early night (9pm) meant waking at 3am so I have been up for hours now. 5 hours in fact. I have read a whole book and browsed the internet, sent birthday wishes, cooked breakfast and even been outside in the cool morning. No more early nights for me then. LOL

    1. Thank Kimberly, it is a lot of hard work but I am loving it. The reason for the surgeries put my whole life in perspective and I don't waste time on time wasters any more. Only things that help me move my dream closer and closer to reality. Sometime it takes a big wake up call but I am trying to encourage people to live life to the fullest right now.

  10. Hi Cecilia,

Yes, it's me. The deluded guy who thinks that "IWSG" means "I Was Seeking Gary." Dropped by from "Farcebook" to check out your blog.

I'm loving your alliteration title to your posting. From what I read you are trying to utilise healthy, positive resources to benefit your physical, emotional and mental health well being. This is most inspiring.

Despite any turmoil, you are managing to focus on verbalising your thoughts. This is encouraging and keep going.

    Kind regards,

    Gary :)

    1. Hello Gary, thank you for coming by. I would offer you a cup of tea but might fizzle out the keyboard. If I had been distressed last year it would have been a mount versuvius + mt st helen + krakatoa kind of hystrionics. A tough year that one, but this year I sit back and breathe and think about the situation and run a few logical sequences through my head and deal with it much much more calmly. Onward and upward. Welcome to my little blog. :) Cecilia

  11. I hope you continue to heal well and stay away from the operating table for awhile. Blessings to you. Oh, I love the imagery of your title. Hopefully, there is no Monkeypox in there!

    1. Thank you. I like alliteration. All this rhyming and poetry is colouring my world view and it is so much fun. I am planning to do all I can to stay well away from the hospital. :)

    1. I hope I am able to accomplish them all too and I think I will with the planning I put in and still have time to relax with my kids. Yes every word is more than I had before I wrote it. I hope there will be no more surgery and things are looking good on that point. Thanks for popping in and reading my blog.
